Faith was taken from a horrific situation and has been overcoming Demodectic mange (not contagious) , cysts, and severe malnourishment. She was found in the home of a mentally ill lady. The lady was not only harboring the dog but also the deceased body of her daughter. Faith was taken from the home and the woman is now in a mental institution so she can get the care she needs.

Animal Welfare Association brought Faith to their shelter to care for her.
 They had her for about 2 months during which time they evaluated and began treating her medical needs. They then posted her photos (above) and a plea for a foster home on their web site. I regularly visit the web site and came across poor Faith and her plight.  It was a few days before Thanksgiving.
I of course went and got her so she could spend the holidays with us.
 

 She is doing so much better!  As you can see, she is growing her hair and getting healthier every day.  She has begun to grab a toy every morning and run around like a puppy. She likes me to grab it and play tug-o-war with her for a few minutes.

Faith was at our home recovering for over 3 months.
 She found a permanent home on Feb. 18th.
She is now living with her new mom Terri in Hamilton, NJ.
